WAY TO MUCH FUN!

It has been so long since the last time I have written here, obviously I have been having way to much fun! I am getting used to  work everyday now, and it is much easier to get through it now that I am becoming friends with a lot of the people I work with :) Since I work in the afternoons, it is pretty slow and most of the time I get put on utilities, which means that I have to sweep by the turnstiles or stock the map carts. But most of the time there are five of us doing the same thing, so everything gets done but then we have time just to walk around, help other people on turnstiles, or sometimes just talk and laugh with each other.  I love the fact that on my days off my roommates and I can go into the Disney parks for free!

I have worked the last seven days in a row and today is my 'Friday' and I am so excited about tonight! Tonight my roommates and I are going to have a Fiesta Dinner. We are going to make Mexican food and drink Mexican martinis. I have never had a Mexican martini before but it sounds good. to make it you mix Tequila, orange liquor and an orange drink. After we are done with dinner we are going to head out to a place called the Miller Ale House where it is ladies night so I can get free drinks all night long :) It's nice to have at least one night a week where I can go out and not spend any money. Even though today is my Friday, tomorrow I have volunteering and on Thursday I have my class, so I really won't have a day off until next week Monday. Well I have to finish getting ready for work,

INTERVIEW TOMORROW!

I am so nervous right now, I have my interview for the professional internship program at Disney tomorrow at 1:45. I applied for a few roles as an events assistant. I really hope that since I have been an events intern before that will help me get my dream job. I would just love to stay here in Orlando forever. I really thought that I would miss Wisconsin but I don't. I miss certain people but I love living in Florida. Getting this internship would make me the happiest person :)
Having amazing roommates made the transition to Florida much easier. We have the best time together. Yesterday we talked at the breakfast table for over an hour about the weirdest topics. We talked about STDs and alcohol. Don't ask me how we got on this topic but we had fun. we laughed the entire time. And once again this morning we were all at the breakfast table for about two hours talking about wild animals, our jobs, and jail. Good news is that none of us has ever been to jail. But Jenay had to go to a women's prison for some project for school once and she had to talk to women who have killed people. But that is the closet any of us has ever gotten to going to jail. The roommates get along but we are very weird together, we usually can't stop laughing.
My job is going well. I like most of the people I work with, they all seem nice. I think that the fact that I am forced to smile for over 6 hours everyday and forced to make other people smile makes it hard to get upset. Even when you deal with a very upset guest the next guest will make you fell great because you helped them out in some way and they are very thankful for it. I love it when people say "Thank You So Much Miss Lori". And 99% of the time I make someone happy and that makes me happy. I could be here at Disney for the rest of my life.

I EARNED MY EARS!

So I have officially earned my ears! I completed the training assessment with a 100%. Now I can go to work and not have anybody looking over my shoulder, it makes working a lot easier. When I completed my assessment, my coordinator changed my status from training to a level 1 (I don't really know what that means) so I am officially a Disney Cast Member. After the assessment I got to meet with one of my managers, he seemed really nice. I even talked to him briefly about doing the professional internship once I have completed the college program.

Right now I am on my first day off since I started training. I have a huge to-do list. I got a little late to getting around to starting it this morning because I got lost driving around. I wanted to see what was in my new neighborhood and I got lost. luckily I found the '4' and saw a sign to take me back to Disney. I finally got back to where I knew I lived and went to run my usual errands. Now I am just doing some laundry and cleaning up around the room. My next task is to start working on my resume for the professional internship, Wish Me Luck!

Until next time,
